Animo Watts College Preparatory, Bullying Policy: Bullying is a form of aggressive behavior used against an individual that involves physical or psychological power among them. This behavior occurs repeatedly over time with the usage of hurtful words.
There are different forms of bullying such as:
-verbal
-non-verbal
-physical
-emotional/psychological
-cyber bullying
The usage of technology: Technology is used as a way to bully others, where it leads into cyber bullying (bullying through the usage of technology; an indirect way) others outside of school or their own classmates. Students are not allowed to use social media in the school computers and are not allowed to take their phones out for any reason during school hours because it allows them to be able to communicate anonymously with others and harass them with text messages, phone calls, and/or social media.
Consequences: If a student is found bullying in school, their behavior will be reported to an administrator where it can lead to suspension or even expulsion from school.
